Impact
Community

Founded in 1894 as a free kindergarten for immigrant families, the core of our work has not changed in our 130-year history. We still educate children, feed hungry New Yorkers, advocate for our neighbors, fight against housing insecurity and provide critical, comprehensive services to thousands who depend on us. Within this essential work are countless stories of joy, hope, resilience and community. In celebration of our 130th anniversary, we are proud to share 130 stories—a cross-section of the thousands of lives transformed by our work.

Thank you for your partnership and support. CLICK HERE to join our impact and help to create more stories!
